Match Report

Despite Rotherham holding a slim 11-10 advantage at the break, Scarlets bounced back to secure a 37-25 victory.

Despite the defeat, Bester saw enough from his side to give him great optimism for the forthcoming season. Titans points came from tries by Sean Dougall, Peter Homan and a Penalty Try and two conversions and two penalties from Garry Law.

"I was very pleased with how we performed in Wales. We should have been much further ahead at half time we left a lot of points out there. We hit the wall a bit in the 2nd half but we came back well and showed a lot of character."

"I wont name individual players, but there were some outstanding performances from certain individuals and as a whole the squad performed well."

"There are a couple of areas in our game that we must improve and some of the combinations didnt function as well as I had anticipated, but we have three weeks to sort them out. All in all, we should be very happy at where we are at this moment in time."
