Titans link up with RBL for this years Poppy Appeal

Rotherham Rugby Club continued its support for the Armed Forces earlier today when two Titans supported the Royal British Legion in their 2013 Poppy Appeal at a local supermarket.

Marshall Gadd and Dallan Murphy took time out of their busy training schedule ahead of the big Yorkshire derby against Leeds at the weekend, by joining up with Ann Dickinson and Fred Churnside from the RBL Maltby branch at Morrisons supermarket in Bramley, Rotherham.

Following a successful appearance by the Titans players, Anne commented, “Marshall and Dallan did a wonderful job for us, they are two very nice young men and I had my photograph taken with them which made my day. When I get home I’m going to put the picture on my Facebook page!”

The Titans appearance at Morrisons supermarket follows on the back of a bucket collection at Clifton Lane last Saturday where the Titans fans raised £471.35 for the 2013 Poppy Appeal.

The Club also continues its support for the Military Covenant and was proud to receive a Certificate of Support recently from the Rotherham Military Community Veterans. The club is also proud to be part of the scheme Tickets for Troops; which is a charitable organisation who offer tickets to veterans or members of HM Forces who have been injured since 2001.
