Colts victorious again

Rotherham Colts rounded off their league campaign with a well deserved 24-6 victory away to Selby. The road-trip victory saw yet another very good all round team performance against a determined home side.

The bonus point victory helped Colts finish runners-up in the league behind champions Scunthorpe. Colts tries were scored by Callum Tongue, Todd Malarkey and Josh Grundy chipped in with a brace, Callum Tongue also kicked 2 conversions.

Colts head coach Sam Coy reflecting on the Colts season said, “I’m very pleased to finish second in the league in our first season. The lads have been fantastic and a pleasure to work with.”

Coy added, “ I Hope we can have a good run in the Plate now and perhaps bring it back to Rotherham, but it’s early days!”

This Sunday the Colts travel to Beverley in the first round of the Yorkshire Plate.
