Titans duo agree terms

Titans rugby are pleased to announce scrum half Jimmy Williams and lock forward Barney Maddison have agreed terms which will see them stay at Clifton Lane for the 2012-13 season.

Both players have made a good impression during their first season with the Titans and are expected to kick-on further next term, as Titans rugby continues to put in place a squad of players that can push for a top end finish next year.

Williams has been an integral part of the Titans this season, appearing in 25 of their 28 Championship matches. The 23 years-old former Birmingham Solihull and Lydney scrum half will be eager to press on next term and maintain his hold on the number 9 jersey.

Maddison at 6’ 6” and 17 stone has provided real power in the “boiler house” of the Titans pack this term. Signed from Tynedale in the summer, Maddison made 24 appearances in the Championship and played in all four of Titans British & Irish Cup fixtures, scoring two tries along the way.

Titans’ rugby are currently working to finalise their squad for the 2012-13 season and further squad announcements will be made in due course.
