The Haka is coming!

Tickets for the RFU Championship XV v Maori All Blacks fixture are now available to purchase from Doncaster Knights.

In November the Maori All Blacks will tour the Northern Hemisphere in a three-test series, including a match against the RFU Championship XV at Castle Park on Saturday November 17.

And for as little as £5, adults can experience the unique sporting event – the Haka – at the home of Doncaster Knights before cheering on a select RFU Championship XV, comprising entirely of English qualified players.

The Maori All Blacks tour is part of a wider programme of November fixtures for Tier 2, supported by the International Rugby Board (IRB), to ensure that these nations have access to an annual high-level competition schedule within the Rugby World Cup cycle.

The tourists will play Leicester Tigers at Welford Road on November 13 before heading for Castle Park on November 17 to take on the RFU Championship XV headed-up by Mike Rayer (Bedford Blues), Diccon Edwards (Leeds Carnegie) and just announced this week, Ian Davies (Cornish Pirates).

Ahead of the tour Mike Rayer said: “I am incredibly proud and honoured to have been selected by the RFU to head the team of coaches who will prepare the Championship XV as we welcome the Maori All Blacks to Castle Park. It is the first time that such a team will have been put together and I’m thoroughly looking forward to the task ahead.

“We’ve all seen just how tough a match against the Maori All Blacks can be when teams tour New Zealand, so it will be really interesting to see how they fare against the lads in the Championship. The likes of Zinzan Brooke, Bruce Reihana and Carlos Spencer are just a few of the names to have graced the Maori All Black team sheet, so I’m sure that we will have a challenging match.”

Doncaster Rugby Football Club Chief Executive David Ryall said: "Hosting an international touring side at Castle Park is a privilege for the Club and perhaps more importantly is a fantastic opportunity to promote rugby union in the North of England. The Club is looking forward to the spectacle of the Maori All Blacks and their famous Haka, and we hope that the chance to see these players take on a RFU Championship XV will not be missed."

Following the game, supporters will be able to enjoy live coverage of the QBE Autumn International, England v Australia, on screens around Castle Park.
