Titans supporters respond magnificently to the 2012 Poppy Appeal
As part of Rotherham Rugby Clubs ongoing commitment to the Armed Forces through the Yorkshire Regiment Trophy, the Club invited amongst others, The Royal British Legion to the Titans game against Doncaster Knights at the weekend.
Throughout the day The Royal British Legion undertook a bucket collection at Clifton Lane for this year’s Poppy Appeal. The generosity of both the Knights and Titans supporters was incredible as close to £850 was raised.
Ron Scott, President of The Royal British Legion Maltby Branch said, “I would like to thank all the wonderful fans of the Rotherham Titans and Doncaster Knights for raising the magnificent donation of £846.40. I would also like to thank the players, staff and directors at the Rotherham Titans for promoting our Poppy Appeal in 2012.”
In addition, Rotherham Rugby Club would also like to put on record their thanks and appreciation to all of their kind-hearted supporters who contributed to this most worthwhile of causes.
