Titans Injury Update

The Rotherham Titans squad has been tested to the limit in recent weeks as their injury list has steadily increased, leaving the medical staff at Clifton Lane with plenty to do.

Last Saturday’s derby encounter against Doncaster Knights saw the only 22 players fit at the club take to the field. The fact Titans beat their fierce local rivals, scoring five tries and collecting the win bonus point, demonstrated the strength in depth the Titans now have within their squad.

Lindsay Whitaker, the Clubs Sports Rehabilitation Specialist gave us an up-to-date assessment of when the injured players may expect to be available for selection.

Barney Maddison: Had his knee operation last Friday, doubtful to figure again this season.

Laurence Pearce: PCL injury, expected to return in middle to late January.

Neale Patrick: Lower back disc bulge, has been referred to a specialist, his return date at this stage is unknown.

Rory Pitman: Fractured eye socket, expected return mid December.

Latu Makaafi: Fractured collarbone, having an X-ray next week, hoping to return in mid December.

Eamonn Sheridan: AC Joint (Shoulder), hoping to be available for the Leeds game.

James McKinney: Ankle, hoping to be available for the Leeds game.
