Colts Players Recognised By Yorkshire
Rotherham Colts impressive progression has not gone unnoticed as three of their players were recently called into the Yorkshire U19s squad for their game against Durham University.
Oliver Dynan, Brad Eades and Tom Coy were all called up to join the elite county players at under 19 level. Unfortunately, Tom Coy missed out through injury, having torn guiders in his hand. Brad and Oliver however, put in excellent displays and did the county and Rotherham Rugby Club proud.
Rotherham Colts Head Coach Sam Coy said of his side’s recognition, “We were all extremely pleased for the boys and they didn’t let themselves down. Both lads performed really well and they were truly proud to receive their Yorkshire Tie’s as a commemoration of their appearances.
“We’ve got a great set-up at Clifton Lane for the boys, Tim Turner adds a lot as my Assistant Coach and Rachel Jackson’s role as Team Manager is essential and she does a great job.
“The recognition the boys have received should send out a strong message and act as a great incentive for all young potential rugby players in the area that Rotherham Rugby Club really is the place to be.”
This week the Colts take on high-flying Huddersfield in The Yorkshire Colts Cup, kick-off is 1pm on Herringthorpe Fields.
