Titans rugby camp a huge success
Rotherham Titans ran a one day rugby camp on Wednesday involving children from various schools in the area; the camp proved to be a huge success with all the children having a fantastic time.
As the Home of Rugby in Rotherham, the club continues to reach out into the community, as it aims to get the young people in the area involved in our great sport, both in terms of playing and watching the Titans at Clifton Lane.
Titans Jamie Kilbane, Garry Law, Fergus Mulchrone and Latu Makaafi coached the children through numerous sessions involving passing, tackling, fitness, skill-sets and a game of tag-rugby to finish off. The children involved ranged from 7-15 years old and all said afterwards what a fantastic day they’d enjoyed.
Such was the success; Rotherham Titans plan to run further camps during the summer as demand for places is proving to be extremely popular.
