Titans share in Pyronix success
Rotherham Titans this week shared in the success of one of the towns most successful businesses, with a player visit to the Hellaby-based firm Pyronix.
Pyronix have been a valued supporter of the Titans for many years and the club was enormously pleased to accept an invitation for a visit and meet the staff event, to celebrate their recent award-winning success. The visit also allowed the club to express its thanks and appreciation for the continued support it receives from one of 'The Worlds Leading Provider’s of Security Products'
Successful Entrepreneur Julie Kenny is Chair and Chief Executive of award winning Pyronix Limited, which she has built from start up in 1986 into a group (Secure Holdings) with an annual turnover in excess of £17 million.
Based in Rotherham, Pyronix manufactures an extensive range of electronic security equipment for intruder alarms; the company now exports more than 50% of its annual turnover.
In recognition of her contribution to the region’s business and industry, Julie was awarded a CBE in the 2002 New Year’s Honours List.
During 2005 Julie was appointed Deputy Lieutenant for South Yorkshire and in 2006 was conferred with an Honorary Doctorate from Sheffield Hallam University in recognition of her ‘outstanding contribution to industry and to the life of the region’.
Pyronix were recently delighted to accept the prestigious 'Security Innovation of the Year' award for their Enforcer product, at the prestigious Security Excellence Awards at the London Hilton on Park Lane, which is basically the 'Oscars of the Security Industry.’
Already firmly established in the market place, the Enforcer is having an immense impact in its first year of sale, bringing together innovative features and taking the wireless alarm market to new levels. The innovative Enforcer has single-handedly changed the face of the wireless alarm market.
Julie Kenny CBE DL Chair and Chief Executive was overjoyed with the accolade stating “It’s fantastic that the Enforcer has been recognised in this way, especially winning a category that attracts such stiff competition. The Enforcer has really staked its claim in the security market, highlighting why wireless technology is the future, and why Pyronix is the manufacturer to take you there.”
Rotherham Titans are immensely proud to be associated with such a professional, successful and innovative local business, with Titans Chairman Nick Cragg explaining, “Julie Kenny and Pyronix have been a fantastic supporter of the club for many years and we hope that support will continue into the future as we endeavour to grow our relationship further.”
