NHS Rotherham
Rotherham Primary Care Trust is part of the NHS, and is one of the 154 Primary Care Trust's (PCT's) in England.
NHS Rotherham is one of 152 primary care trusts (PCTs) in England responsible for buying (commissioning) health services across the borough. The present Government is undertaking an unprecedented reorganisation of the NHS which will take effect from April 2013 subject to the passage of the Health and Social Care Bill through parliament.
The reorganisation will see major structural changes with PCTs abolished and GPs taking over the majority of the local health budget. NHS Rotherham and local GPs are committed to working with local partners and stakeholders to improve the health and well being of people in the borough.
Our latest campaign in collaboration with the Rotherham Titans aims to encourage people to do more physical exercise, eat a healthy diet, drink less alcohol and stop smoking
